Multiple Material Storge Locations

Hi,

What is the procedure to set up two identical material codes, one domestic and the other import, in separate storage locations in the same warehouse? And can we still use two different storage locations if they both have the same material codes?

Thanks,

Das.

Hi,

If the material is owned by the company, you can have it in separate storage locations. But as explained by the Mark Material Number, it will be the same with different Manufacturer part numbers (Local and Foreign). You can place the material in separate storage locations.

And yes, you can use two different storage locations with same material code. It will be in the same plant. For example, you can force the foreign item in storage location 0001 and domestic item in storage location 0050.

Reward points if found helpfull...

Cheers,

Siva.
