Multi language records

Hi,

We have one custom table and it has records with Japanese text in it.

When table is viewed with login langugage JA record is displayed as is

but when table is viewed with login langugage EN record shows some gargabage data.

It may be because of Unicode.

How to make the custom table/records Unicode enabled or any other way through which we

can view the records in EN login langugage.

Rgds,

Fattesingh

Fattesingh Gaikwad ,

Try this out..

Go to cutomize local layout (Alt + F12) in your GUI then to -> character set ->select Japanese (Shift I).

after selecting Japanese logout and login again.

Then read your custom table with language 'JA' incase you maintain language key

iF this setting messesup your font, just go to the same menu and click the font, change it to desired font and size.

reward, if its useful.

Logoff SAP and restart ur system.

Then u can able to see all the languages.
