Moving Objects into Transport

Hi all

I am not making any changes to the existing Objects but i attaching them to a Transport Request for importing into another System.

When I m relaesing a Transport, I face Error saying that some Object in the List cannot be Locked ! The some of ojects that are not getting locked are of type Type Groups, Domain and a Data Element.

Do it is a Problem ? Should I have do any thing ?

I had an issue like this and it turned out that they were local objects and therefore not transportable.

but these objects are already sitting in the Dev class !

Normally this is because they are in another transport, have you checked?

okay ! I agree this for a Data Element.

I could see a DE being present in two request !

But a Type Group is seening in only one Request and it is not getting LcokeD !

go into the object you have a problem with - goto- object directory entry - locks it should tell you where it is

exactly ! Even I have attached the corresponding DEV Class on the same transport !

As a last resort, delete object from request then go into object and change it, activate and it should prompt for a new request
