Move a string into standard text

Hi,

I have requirement to move a string to standard text and then display the standard text to someother report.

But I found that I can convert to string to TDLINE format. Can anyone suggest me a function module which can upload a string or text in tdline format into a standard text.

Hi

You can modify the Std text by adding the String and then fetch the Text completley using READ_TEXT fun module

or Fetc the Text and then concatenate the Text and string together and display in other report.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Let me explain my issue.

I have a Z table created. I will execute my report with a unique number. It should show me a popup to type text. once I type the text, I will update the Z table with the text and a unique number. If I execute the report again with unique number, it should show me the text typed already and should allow me to edit and save the same. For this purpose I am using a standard text as intermediate for editing and updating my table.

Hope the issue is clear. How can I load my standard text with the text that I fetch from Z table...??
