Hi,

In module pool the layout is in alphanumeric form instead of graphical form anyone

suggest any setting required so that the layout will open in graphical format.

There is a setting in the workbench. If it is already set, and the screen painter still will not fire, then that means that it is not installed. You must install the component when installing the SAPgui. You can add it on after the installation, but you will require to run the installation again, and choose the screen painter under development tools.

Hi,

I am also facing the similiar problem. I am working with SAP 3.1i.

Whenever I go to SE51 transaction to design a screen, it starts the layout editor in alphanumeric form and not in graphical form.

I have already made the necessary settings in the menu.

There seems to be a file missing from the library which my basis consultant is not able to find.

Please let me know the file name that needs to be copied & the place where it should be placed.

Goto tcode SE51 >on menu bar Utilities>Settings---> you will find lot of tabstrips here select Screenpainter -->Check the radio button Graphical layout editor.

Still if yiu could not arrive this ask the basis person to add required file for this.

contact ur basis administrator...he'll install a patch and u'll get graphical painter.
