Modify old ALV report editable rows

Hello,
I need to modify and old report with a lot of code.
This report is using FM REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY.
Now, the requeriment is add a new field and make it editable only in some rows.

I know I can do it using FM REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY_LVC (or using OO...), but this involves changing a lot of code because these FM use different structures, etc.

I've found a workaround using event TOP_OF_PAGE and FM GET_GLOBALS_FROM_SLVC_FULLSCR to get the grid instance.

it is working fine, but we dont need a TOP_OF_PAGE.
Is there a way to hide the top of page ?
I'm using parameter i_html_height_top, but the lowest value is 1, if you put 0 then is set to 20.

Do you know if I can hide the to of page or do these rows editables in other way without changing all the code...

If making the fields editable is the requirement why do you want to go for an alternate approach? You can still use the same FM for achieving the requirement. Recommend you to follow the LINK to understand on how it is achieved.

Can you elaborate the reason why you have opt for other approaches?

In case you don't want the TOP OF PAGE just don't code for it. You must approach in below sequence:

1) Check your code block for TOP_OF_PAGE and delete the code.

2) Avoid raising the below event in the program.

The requirement is to made editable the field ONLY in some rows. Not add a new field and make it editable in all the rows.

The TOP_OF_PAGE is a trick, a workaround to manage to use STYLES using FM REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY.
