can anyone gve me an idea abt what is material extension, and extension profiles? in mm.

Hi,

Material extension means copying a material from one plant to other.

Technically speaking, adding an entry to MARC table for a material which is present in MARA.

Extension profile means which data is to copied from source plant to target plant.

Hi,

Material extension is tracting material from one plant to other plant or in the same plant from one storage location to other storage location.

That means while creating material to other plant then material of existing material is taken and extended.

Extension profile is copiny data from one plant to other.
