Hi Folks

I need to show a message to the user which is basically a validation before approval that the user has got the approver role. The task is a background task. Can you please let me know if I can provide the message through exceptions or define a separate step? For different step do I need to pass on the message to a container element?

Hello Rajeev,

For Background Tasks in Workflow it is not possible to show up messages.

The tip I would give to you is you could generate an e-mail (through Internet or by using the mail message functionality from SAP R/3) to let the user knows of the role modification.
