Hi,

While performing purchase order (invoice) tcode, I am getting message "Memory low....Leave the transaction before taking a break!" at status bar. I never saw this before. I could not able to find any information for this error in ST22 and SM21. If any one have idea please tell me the reason and trouble shoot this issue

Thanks in advance

Hi Srinivas,

On most SAP systems when you're running low on memory, you will get this message. I suppose nothing to worry as sometimes lot of tasks may be running.

Thanks for your point Vivek. But is there any way that to find all tasks in system? (I checked SM66 and all work processes are running none of them with waiting status)

Hi Srinivas,

Here is what i found about this issue in the following link:

http://66.102.7.104/search?q=cache:YswHYyjuKjMJ:www.ies.state.pa.us/imaginepa/cwp/view.asp%3Fa%3D7%2...Memorylow....Leavethetransactionbeforetakingabreak%2Bsap&hl=en&gl=us&ct=clnk&cd=2

====================================================

If these messages are received, the user should wait for at several minutes (or longer) and try the transaction again.

Since the issue is related to load balancing of the system, the ability of the user to access the system may be dependent on how many other users are logged in at the time, and therefore access will vary throughout the day.

Maintenance is scheduled for this evening (11/1) to address the memory issue and correct this problem.

Vivek

Did you check SM50, it gives all the processes overview and also what program is currently running on that process. Select all the processes and from the menu List->CPU should give the how busy the CPU is at any given moment.

Sudhir,

Thanks for the information.

SAP NOTE 0116042 had clear information related to this issue. But Releases column telling that this was valid for 40A, 45A and 45B releases, but my system is 46C. Shall I consider this ? Also 0124555 is not valid OSS number.

Regards

Srinivas
