What is the difference in the MATMASxx and MATMAS_BAPIxx message types ? I am unsure of which I should use?

MATMAS is the create the mataterial master data..

MATMAS_BAPI is the create and change material master data

so you can use MATMAS_BAPI

What is the difference in the MATMASxx and MATMAS_BAPIxx message types ? I am unsure of which I should use?

MATMAS is the create the mataterial master data..

MATMAS_BAPI is the create and change material master data

so you can use MATMAS_BAPI

Actually, they both allow create and change. MATMAS05 and MATMAS_BAPI03.
