Material master characteristics

Hi Gurus,

I am trying to upload material master characteristics, i.e., create new characteristics (T-code CT04) with LSMW direct input method with standard object "Classification". However, when I try to create the batch input folder, there is an error message saying that T-code CT04 is not supported.

I have also tried the recording method but CT04 does not support recording method and no characteristics gets created during recording. This matter needs to be resolved urgently.

Can you please tell me what is going wrong and what can be done?
