Material creation using BAPI

Hi,

I am creating the material using the BAPI (BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA). While creating this, if I do not pass any old material number, I am getting a pop up that 'Old material number will be defaulted to the material being created'. I am getting the same pop up while creating the material manually.

Is there any way that I can avoid this popup through program?

hai priyanaka it might be due to configuration problem

bcos manulay also ur gettign this , so just consult ur MM consultant for soem setting
