Hi,
Please try this.
1. Go to SE11 and enter custom table name.
2. Click on change button.
3. Go to Entry help/check tab.
4. Enter the corresponding match code for the field under Search help column.
For example, field WERKS and search help H_T001W.
5. Save and active.

Match code are obsolete now.
You should use Search help.
Go to SE11 and create/change table.
And go to 'Entry help/Check' table.
Specify the Search help you want to use for particular field in 'Srch Help' field.

Search help can be attached to a field with Data Element.

in my custom table i have field provg with data element provg
i click on search help field which pops up a window and type in h_tprio in search help input field but it doesnt change the search help. m i missing something ?

Hi,
The search help for field PROVG is H_TVPR.
You can test the seacrh help in SE16 or SE11.
