Match code with 70 chars

Hello all, i dont know if this is the right place for this question but i just cant figure out this new scn.  Hope some one read this and can help.

I have the following scenario:

- i need to create a match code for a 70 char field and assign it to a field in tx: FMCIA

- i need that when the match code is displayed the 70 chars are viewed in the match code window.

I dont know if that is possible via configuration or writing code.  Has anyone encountered this situation before?

Any and all help will be very appreciated.

Hi David,

Create a search help with that table field, and assign it with that selection screen field. (Select option field name match code 'ID')

Hi,

1. May i know the version of SAP that you are using? Match codes have been replaced by Search helps since version 4.0. So if it is greater than that, then you have to go with search help.

2. Can you tell us to which field are you trying to attach this search help?
