Master Tables

How many Master tables are there in SAP?Can anybody give me a list of the same?

Welcome to SDN.

1. There is no direct way to know Master tables.

2. Either we should know it,

or search them based upon description.

3. In se11,

u can search from description Master

4. Other tables not having 'Master' in their description,

can also be master tables.

i think there are 182,

u can go to se11, there click on search icon,

enter short description as master as amit said, u will get 182 table names

Do all master tables have only one fields as primary key?

Hi again,

1. This is not necessary.

2. There are many master tables (eg in HR)

which store Assignment - Combinations

of various primary keys for business logic.

Not necessary. There are more than one.

One of which is MANDT ie Client.

which is followed by other primary keys.

Consider MARA,

it has 2 primary keys namely

MANDT

MATNR

MAKT has 3 primary keys namely

MANDT

MATNR

SPRAS
