Master data transfer for Asset using Idoc

Hello all,

I need to transfer Asset master data from one logical system to other using Idoc. I have serached message type FIXEDASSET_CREATEFROMDATA1 for the same.

Is it fine to use this message type? Also I am not able to find transcation code to send asset and get asset.

for example BD10 to send material and BD11 to get material. Which are the tcodes to send asset and receive asset?

I think your message type should be FIXEDASSET_CREATE and basic type FIXEDASSET_CREATE01

I don't think there is any standard T code to send Asset in bulk, like BD11/ BD14. This is a standard IDoc message type which required all manual config and you can write a custom program, where you can pass the data through outbound Idoc.

You need to populate data, in EDIDC and EDIDD:

Thanks for valuable reply. In my case I have to transfer assets from development to Quality. The assets which are already created into development. Do i need to hard code those values now?

Are you going to do it within DEV and QA ? Then why you are not using SCC1 transaction. I am confused, not sure about you exact requirement.

Hi ,

Sorry, We have asset master data into Quality. We have to now transfer asset master from Quality server to development server for testing purposes. So how to transfer Master data for asset in this case?

We are transferring Material master, Vendor master and Asset master. Material master and Vendor master have standard transaction to send and get. But I could not find standard trasnaction to send asset from one logical system to other.

This is what is requirement.

For Asset there is no such T code, as I have said earlier. you can create a custom program as I have said. I think this is very unique requirement. This should be done though client mirroring from BASIS. I don't know, why you people are developing this. Wait for some more expert comment from this forum. May be some other people have any other idea.
