Mapping with Core Data Services

Hello Community,

I have the following requirement:

There will be a restructuring of material groups soon in our organization, which should also be done in a timely manner. The reporting is done on document level (transaction data). A correction of the material groups in the closed documents is not on the agenda and will therefore not be implemented. In reporting, it should be possible to display the new material groups. Which procedure should be chosen here. Reporting is and will be based on virtual data models with CDS (Core Data Services). The solution approach should take this into account if possible. I am still in the early stages of coding in general and am still gathering experience.
