Maintain table maintenance

I created a custom "Z......." table. I have a few data elements I created for fields in the table. When I call SM30, and press the Maintain button. The correct screen comes with up with custom table I created, except in the headings, all I get is a "+" symbol in the heading text, not the field name as expected. Has anyone else had this problem? how did you correct it?

Hi Rod,

In the table u created. Goto Utilities->table maintenace generator.

In that u must have define the screen with some number.

Just double click on the sreen number. It will take you to another screen.

There you finrthe screen attributes and <b>ELEMENT LIST</b> tab . There all the fields n input/output fields defined in the screens will be there.

There check the text part which contains the '+' symbol. VChange it to the text u needed. Save n activate . That will solve ur problem i guess.

Regards,

Priyanka.

Dear Cannon,

In <b>Table Maintenance, the column heading will display for the fields which have data elements with labels</b>,

You please <b>check the data elements, give labels and activate,</b> other wise you will not get column heading in Table Maintenance.

<b>Reward points for all helpful answers.

Have a nice day ahead...

Cheers !

Hi,

To change the '+' symbol in SM30, while u maintain ur table, do the following steps:

Goto <b>SE80.</b>

Give the <b>name of ur function group </b> that u used while doin the table maintainence generator.

When u <b>press enter</b> on the function group name,. a <b>drop down</b> wil appear which containes the tables, gui stsus and screens stc.

<b>Click on the screen</b>.

The drop down wil hav the <b>screen number</b> say 100.

Now <b>double click on the screen number</b>, which wil open a page.

In that page,<b> choose ELEMENT LIST tab</b>.

Under element list, U choose <b>I/O fields tab</b>,wher u can see ur table fields appearing as '+'.

Now <b>jus change the '+' to ur field names</b>.

Then <i><b>save and activate</b></i> the screen.

Again when u view ur table in SM30, The field names wil appear.

*****Reward points if helpful.

All the best.
