Hi,

I need to create a sales order using LSMW. Does anyone know which method is more reliable to use? Is it Standard BI/DI : 0090 ( or) BAPI?

vamsee,

if u r comfortable to use bapi's in lsmw then its better to go with bapi method only

BUS2032 this is the business objet correspond to the sales order

being this bapi methos is very fast when compared to other methods and not only there r lot of advantages with this bapi method over all the methods

Hi,

In my LSMW, when I am using Sales order BAPI, and I am using Partner type = US and Part Number = LSMW, i am getting an error saying : Partner types not maintained.

Currently, in our system we have partner types = LS and Part Number = DEV100, DEV120, SB120

and the client I am working is: DEV100

Any ideas how to maintain in Idoc inbound processing?

LSMW using recording method is the simplest of all try using this method.this method does not have any constraints

Are you passing the above values to SALES_PARTNERS of the BAPI.

Then i beleive you are wrong.

The Sales Partner identifies the partner of the sale document like Sold-To Party, Ship-To, Bill-To ...

You can get respective partner functions from table TPAR.

Do I have to create it in WE20? I have never created any partner type. Can you please let me know the step by step process to create it?

I have been using Object : 0090/Method : 0000, Program Name : RVINB10 because I got stuck using BAPI's.

In my Final step , Start Direct Input Program : I am getting the following error:

Start of processing : V1 091

Date / / is not valid

Did you use Direct Input or BAPI's before for Sales order?

vamsee I worked with direct input and bapi methods in lsmw but not with sales order but I think already I sent the documents for those process rite....

any how let us go into the problem before doing this did u created the logical file paths for the flat file and log file...?

If so check in the structure of the date format in your source structure and in you flat file.. may be some times, if the souce structure takes only 8 charecters and if u supply 10 chars lenght it will give you the same error plz check it out once again

I guess you might missing populating data for schedule line date i.e EDATU of structure BVBEPKOM.
