In LSMW 6th step(Specify Files} i am getting error stating. The error description is:--

File Name 'Converted Data". Max 45 characters. Remaining data sved. How to rectify the error. Thanx in Advance

Hi,

Make the length of the file less than 45 characters.

Hi

The Problem is the converted data file name is more than 45 characters.

In change mode, double click on the file name and try to reduce the name of the file below 45 chars.

Give the Logical path and Logical file ( you can give any logical path) and save it.

The converted file will be saved in the Application server in the specified logical path.

Hi,

delete some of the words in File Name in the Converted Data.

this will solve the problem.

Hi,

You can try this:-

use a wild char '*' in the file name and then specify the file name or a part of it as the value for wild card.

with this you need not change the file name.
