Preferably use a BAPI like BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA so that you wont have issues with the views

if you have specified the standard batch/direct input then you have indicator fields like XEIA1,XEIB1,XEID1 etc which needs to be specified with 'X'. that will include the views
