LSMW- Mapping Same Name Fields

Hiii All

I have an issue in LSMW.

In Step 3- Maintain Source Fields, as I put 2 fields with the same name, there is an error. For example if I put BEGDA twice, it says "Name 'BEGDA' already in use. Choose another name". So I put BEGDA1 and the system accepts it. I save and come out

Now in Step 5- Maintain Field Mapping and Conversion Rules, I can see all the fields that have been put by me, but I am not able to see BEGDA1.

How do I bring in BEGDA1 here

Best Regards,

Srikanth.

Sounds to me like you're looking at the target fields (left side of the screen). You should see BEGDA1 in the pop up screen that opens once you try to map a source field by clicking the respective button.

Venkat what thomas is saying correct just check in the step Feild mapping and conversion rule in this screen go for Extras---> Unassigned source fields (ctrlshiftf2) .

just assign these source field to ur target fields(recording fields)

Hii...

In the Data Mapping step, I am able to see only one field in the left side. Might be SAP is eliminating the fields of recording which has same field names.

But any way, as it is same field i am keeping the source field (ZTERM1 & ZTERM2) as it is.

So it is a recording. Either you recorded just one field entry or you did not assign target field names to the other recorded fields upon saving the recording. Please check.

I don't understand your last sentence.

We had the same problem and we added the missing duplicate field in the Recording.

Use the +Screen Field-button to find your second field and add it.

Later on separate it like you did earlier; BEGDDA1.
