Hi, I read lots of tutorials online but I still do not understand what is sender and receiver systems for. Now I want to upload PO to SAP system using LSMW IDoc method, do I need to do setup for sender and receiver systems?

Hi Firend,
Yes you need to define destination system.
Its not just the system identification where r actually data will finally save.
this can be of two type
1. Inbound : inbound means the data is coming from any other medium like any file or any other system.
2. Outbound : this means the data goes to the other system or file from your current SAP system.
for define the sender and receiver just follow some simple steps :
1. go to transaction LSMW
2. Give your project, subproject and Object name.
3. select method on object come back to initial screen.
4. go to menu Settings->Idoc inbound processing.
5. you will see screen go to file port choose "Maintain port" choose any file port.
6. choose partner type
7. and partner number (be sure that client number should be same as you work upon )
8. define the message type for inbound or outbound in partner number.
