LSMW Direct input method

Hi ,

I am getting the problem in the final step of LSMW , i.e start direct input program , in this step it ii am going by selecting BMV0 . Here onwards i am unable to proceed. it is asking job name , i am giving some name , and in the nect screen , i am selecting 'tart job ' icon on application tool bar , it is asking variants. Can u please tell me how can i proceed from here.i am very thank ful to all if u reply for issue.

Can you post the layout that your are prompted with?

Hello,

Define a job by 'Define job' in BMV0 transaction. along thit this you need to enter the Variant also.

then this job + variant would be available wben you start a job by choosing 'start new job' option.

to save a variant which you have defined choose radio button option 'Program RMDATIND' in 'Start Direct Input program' step of LSMW and after giving the necessary parameters, save a variant with the same name which you have defined in the 'Define job' step.

Then you will be able to start the variant in Start new job step in tx: BMV0 now.

Hi Murugesh,

I tried by the way what u said, i defined the job, and i am unable to create the variant by checking the RMDATIND radio button, i entered the physical name then after execting i am getting the error log, plase help what i have to do now.

Hi,

After you select BMV0,

press execute on "Manage Data Transfers".

Then go to menu

Applications -> Industrial matl master -> Create variant.

Then define the job.

and then process the batch.

Hello,

The variant in '<b>Program RMDATIND</b>' option could be created in following way:

1. choose '<b>Program RMDATIND</b>'. now you see a selection screen.

2. Choose '<b>using Physical filename</b>' option and mention the physical file name.

The physical file name is the file name which you have mentioned for Convert data in your <b>'Specify files</b>' step.

3 Other parameters are Lock mode ( normally no locking is choosen ) and '<b>create the change documents</b>' check box is enabled.

4 choose the 'SAVE' button to save the variant.

I am now able to create the job, but my spool request ie going to printer, out put device -p rinter screen is displying , i dont want this how can i disable this.After selecting start job, i am select immediate processing. in between this spool..request is coming.
