Long text

Hello. We're running SAP ECC 6 on an oracle database. I have a question regarding formatting text inside "long text" fields (these are screens that open up in Microsoft Word and allow you to edit text). The requirement would be to preserve formatting after this pseudo-Word document is saved. However, SAP saves it as plain text. Is there any way (configuration maybe?) where SAP can be adjusted to allow formatting (such as colors, different fonts, tables, etc)

Unfortunately, that is not an option with many of the long texts that were designed when there was no integration between SAP and Microsoft tools.

Only where a smartform or standard text or sapscript is involved in taking that text, you may have some limited formatting features available.
