Hi!

I ve created a logical system, can i use the same LS to send P.O and to receive Order COnfirmation.

What is Logical SYSTEM pls give some info.

In order to communicate between different SAP Systems, SAP has provision for gateways which are termed as Logical Systems. Logical Systems are defined for every system and are uniquely identified with a client. This logical systems are largely used in ALE Communication and IDOC Distribution. This is pretty much used in a distributed environment.

Fine i ve created logical system, my issue goes on here,

In WE21, Port Defination

I ve 2 directory

Physical & Logical

What i ve fill here, if i choose phy or Log

In function module ---> what FM to use.

I am USING ALE.

Hello Rahul,

If you are using ALE ,Then in WE21 Transaction -> select Transaction RFC -> click on Create button -> now you get pop up window -> Select radio button genarate port name.

In second screen -> Give the Port description -> you need to give RFC Name

Select Version SAP release 4.x

You have to proper RFC Name while creating port,just use SM59 Transaction to create RFC.

The major diffrence between ALE/EDI -

ALE - here we use Transactional RFC Port

EDI - File Port

WE21 is used for opening an rfc port for the logical system.

Hello Rahul,

Config will done by Basis since we will not have authrization for SALE,RFC..Port creation,Model view

If you come across partner profile -then techinal person will enter outbound parameters as well Inbound parameters.

Most of the time config done by Basis .
