Hi,

You define port in the system to send or receive the data from the SAP system. Logical port is the passage for the data in the system.

For the ports to be defined, you need an RFC destination(in SM39) that establishes the connection between the two systems.

Once the port is defined, you can use the same in Partner profiles (We20) to send the data.
