Locking in AMDP

Hi Team ,

Kindly suggest me is there any way we can handle locking mechanism in AMDP procedures.

like in abap we haveENQUEUE_<lockobjectname> and DEQUEUE_<lockobjectname>.

Hello Saurabh,

Actually locking concept meant for DB table.

AMDP method contains SQL script.

Can I know what is your requirement?

Hi Saurabh,

If you want to use ABAP Enqueue locks then you have to call them BEFORE you call your AMDP.

The AMDP is executed in the database (it is a Database Procedure)! It cannot call back to the ABAP side.

Hi Saurabh.

ENQUEUE & DEQUEUE are meant for AS ABAP. AMDP doesn't execute on application server.
