Is there a limit of columns in the fieldcatalog?

i think you can assign as many as fields as we can see in SE16 alv.

and if you talk about limit than i think

sky is the limit, where sky = available memory.

As per my humble observation in SM50, ALV-Grid does about triple the memory usage of the internal table before displaying it, so this may well stop your application server if you're trying to display a million records.

No. As far as I know there is no limit.

But if the list or ALV is too long, the printout might not fit on the width of the normal paper.

yes, you can put upto Value range: 0, 1 - 60

ie 61 columns only

Donno the exact answer but 60 columns is not the answer.

I have developed a report using ALV FM and it has more than 80 columns.

Hi,

You can display the entire table fields in dictionary table without fieldcatalog also, by using function module.

Even by using fieldcatalog also, you can display all the fields in table.
