Language Transalation

Hi All,

I am doing language translation(SE63) of a text module from English to German in ECC 6.0, then i am getting the Incorrect code page error. But when i am able to do this in 4.6c. Lanugaes maintained in the both the versions are same. Still i am getting the Incorrect code page error in ECC 6.0.

If we install the German language in the system, then i may not get this error (This conclustion based on my earlier projects exp as there when we got the incorrect code page error, we installed that language in the system and the error never turned up). Is this the only way to solve the problem or is there any other alternative solution for this.

Hi,

Yes, german language should be installed in ECC 6.0.

For sure, a language have to be installed if you want to make a translation into this language.

Hi,

As I know the language 'DE' and 'EN' are installed automatically if you install ECC6.0 ( you could not deselect them at install).

Need to install the language to translate the text.
