I would like get the version of Acrobat installed on my PC or retrieve the list of all software installed on my pc.

Do you know a FM to do this?

try these function modules

GUI_GET_DESKTOP_INFO – Returns information about the end-users desktop

GUI_RUN – Starts program with ShellExecute

hi,

Use the class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES

in this class use method file_get_verson

There are many more methods in this class which you can use to find the required info.

sorry, this solution doesn't work.

The objective is to get the version of Acrobat reader software and not version of file

exceptions
