Hi,

We are facing an problem wherein the derived role does not have the same field values as the Master role. What could be the cause and solution of this issue ?

Thanks for your responses

Hi

My guess is that the different value, is a value for a field that has been defined as an organizational level

When working with derived roles, you should always maintain the organizational levels, using the organizational level push button (or in the initial popup for organizational levels). If you maintain the value directly, it will not be inherited correctly.

Hi Vijaya,

Derived role will have the values different to master role only in the organisational levels

ex: company code, sales org, controlling area etc.....

If other than the org level fields having different values, sometimes it is correct as the values are changed manually.

If you want to make the same values in derived and master role other than org levels, try to change manually [OR] delete and recreate the role.

Reward me if its useful....

Thanks,

Praveen.
