issue in change pointer configuration ALE

Hi All

As per the client requirement, change pointer configuration done in ALE for COSMAS. User is not triggering the COSMAS by using KOA1 but it's moved to the destination system.

1.It seems like ALE is working automatically and do not require any triggering of t-codes?

2.when ever you are changing in the cost center will it moved automatically or not?

Please confirm.

Thanks & Regards

Check the entries in the transaction BD52 (field level change pointer activation). Idoc will get trigger if any field of these entries getting changed by any means.

Thanks,

Asit Purbey.

Hi All

In ALE change pointer configuration is done through BD21 as well as BD61 not by the field level configuration through BD52.

once we configure the ALE through BD12 as well as BD61 It seems like ALE is working automatically and do not require any triggering of t-codes?

Please confirm.

Yes, once the initial ale configuration is done and all the transactions you

mentioned are active for change pointers, then whenever you are sending data

change pointers will trigger.

BD21 and BD63 are not sufficient, In fact BD21 comes as a last pointer in Chnage pointer configuration.

1) Check in Change Documents are getting created in CDPOS and CDHDR table

2) Now comes BD52 which takes entries from above 2 tables and enter them in BDCP and BDCP2 tables. These are change document tables.

3) Now you make entries in TBDME table to specify the FM which will read change pointer tables and create the IDOCs.
