Invalid codepage for language

When I go to transaction SE63 and from main menu selected-

Translation > Short Texts > ABAP > Program Text.

I have given name of the report and selected source language(English) and target language (Russian) and when clicked on Edit button,

I'am getting an error "Invalid codepage for language Russian".

Please help.

Check whether codepage for russian language is installed or not using transaction SMLT.

Hello,

You login in Russian & then go to Se63 to convert program text. use the same path .

we had faced similar issue & worked fine after above method.

Thanks for your responce.

I have tried by logging into Russian language and tried to change the text elment through SE63 t.code,but it failed.

I am not able to copy the russian language description to the text.

Could you please help me out.

Hello,

What's the error you are getting ?

After entering program name & source & target language when you click edityou will get a list,where you can insert your required characters(words).Once done ,you can press confirm translation button,which updates data.

Hi,

My Text Element : Billing date,

I want to convert to russian language

Russian Decription :

Дата выписывания счетов

After giving program name & Source & target

while pasting the russian description to the target , i am getting the following in target :

Billing date

???? ????? ????

I am not able to copy the russian description to the target.

Could you please help wht type of error is this.

In my system russian language is configured.

Please help me out.

Hello,

If you are in Russian login & you are pasting something in russian,it shd not create problem.are you sure that character set (which you are pasting) is correct & russian language is configured correctly?

Did you try to confirm translation & see what's appearing in report after re-logging in russian?
