internet users, WAD

Hi,

My question might be wrong.

we attached the Web templates to an internet site.

But I am considered about the User licenses.

I heard that service ID's are not counted for Licenses.

Can I create these users as service users in BW and

let them access the reports through our website.

I know that user is getting info from BW backend,

but is there anyway to reduce the count of user licenses.

Please notice that the user type (DIALOG / COMMUNICATION / SYSTEM / SERVICE) also have an impact on the functionality (see SAP Note 622464).

Please notice also that there is an user attribute called "license data". That one is relevant for the license auditing. For more detailed information kindly have a look on http://service.sap.com/licenseauditing

Hi Wolfgang,

I know about these things.

well I tested with one service ID and everything is perfect. except we don't get password change ability.

here I am talking about 800 users.

can You expect 800 users getting in to the system

as service users.Is it legal?

Are there any other possibilities of reducing the license count?

Well, the SAP Note 622464 already clearly states that for "human users" the user type DIALOG (or COMMUNICATION) has to be used.

More important than the number of accounts is the "weight" of each account. And that's how the "contractual user type" (=> user classification) comes into play.

If you have any further questions on license auditing and legal aspects, kindly get in touch with the Global License Auditing Service team.
