what is the diffrencebetween databaseinstance and centralinstance.

Hi Kumar,

Central Instance : It contains the ABAP engine and Java engine along with it s work processes. Central instance contains all types work processes. All user requests will be processed on App. server level or Central instance level only.

If data requires it will establish a connectivity to the database instance.

Database instance : It contains all the database related services.
