Installing mini sap

Hi

I have downloded the full abap edition and installed it on a pc running xp pro with 2 GB ram but when i try and logon i get the following error

sapgui 640

partner not reached (host 127.0.0.1, service sapdp00)

WSAECONNREFUSED: Connection refused

can any one suggest how to fix this

Hi,

Something wrong with the Logon Connections to the SAP console.

Take the help of a BASIS related person and take his advise and solve.

Did you install the loopback adapter and make the appropriate entry in the Hosts file?

Yep installed the loopback adapter and made the appropriate entry but still no joy

yep engine started, but still no joy an going to uninstall everything and start again just to make sure that nothing went wrong in the installation, hopefully that will solve it
