Hello Everybody,
I have a requirement: I have a created a table with 4 fields and assigned explicit search help for each of these fields and used table maintenance generator to maintain its entries.
Now in SM30....If I enter the first field thro F4-help....I want the search help for next fields pretraining or related to the previous field entry only ..Please suggest a way to do this..
Useful Suggestions will be rewarded...

Hi
You have to create search help in that way that it has some input parameters. These parameters should be of the same type as the other fields in hte table.
Then, while assigning search help to the field in the table, system will propose additional assignment to the other fields in the table.
This way these fields will also be associated with the search help.

Hi,
If u r using elementary search help for each field it is not possible to get what u r expected. so better to use collective search help.

Hi

It is not true. It is possible to do it with the elementary search help.
For example (text as I cannot attach image):
Standard Search Help CACS_ACCAS_TYID:
Parameter Imp Exp LPos SDis Data element
APPL X 0 1 CACSAPPL
ACCAS_TYID X 1 0 CACS_ACCAS_TYID
VERSION X 2 0 CACSVERSION
NAME X 3 0 CACS_ACCASNAME
OK. So as you can see there is only one import parameter at this moment. Now, if you would create a table/structure with these fields in it and assign to one of them this search help then it would only take input value from the APPL parameter.
But you could change this SH to also import the ACCAS_TYID parameter. Then then assigning it to one of the fields system would automatically ask you, if you also want to use other, available parameter and should it be assigned to the ACCAS_TYID table/structure field.
