Input help is not working ?

I hope will get the solution for my problem.

I am unable to use input help(Input help is not working) in sap. Let me tell the context of input help--for eg if we open se16 while typing table name it will suggest tables recently opened.

What I under stand,you are not able to see history in any case like se16 .

Can you please check this history option is enabled in your system?

from options >then local data then this

Hi,

It's a kind of BASIS installation issue.

But the thing is SAP 7.30 SP05 or SAP GUI SP04 GUI Installation can works.

for further reference you can check this sap note also

, Anything can happen in SAP if some SAP notes are missing, we should be ready for every issue with some solution. look at my Thread , this is one of the unexpected issue i faced in SAP and solution was SAP notes.

Try with another user id,  if he can able to type then

restart your system and login again .

This is the exact problem am facing(Thanh Shared correct screen shot), am not getting the suggestions while typing.

*Not only in se16, its not working anywhere like if you open se38 there also its not coming.

*Its working for all my colleagues

*For me also its working sometimes, but most of times its not working

*Currently I could not access sap, tomorrow I will check and update you guy's asap.

Hi Hari,

Pls try the below steps:

Procedure:

(1) Hold down the Control (CTRL) key on the keyboard;

(2) Right-click with the mouse on field that you want to enable/disable the history;

(3) At the end of the popup, are the options 'Enable History' and 'Disable History'.

Please click on enable history.

As you can see the input history in a transaction, I will suppose your SAP GUI options are correct. (SAPGUI, options, local data, history)

So check

• On recent (Basis 7.02 or higher) versions, there is an option in screen painter to deactivate log for a field (Note 1264378)
• If field length greater than a value (default 30, change in local option) the history of a field is also deactivated (Note 399180)
  

Look also for notes with keywod "SAP GUI" "Input" "History" to ind notes like Note 199527 - Input history for SAP GUI for Windows

For  this, the attribute "No input history" is available in Screen  Painter,  which can be maintained using a checkbox. If the checkbox is set, the  local input help of SAPGUI is suppressed.
Suppressing the input  history is useful for screen fields that contain  sensitive data (for  example, account numbers, and so on).

The  graphical layout editor of the Screen Painter is delivered as part  of  the SAPGUI. It therefore displays the attribute "no input history" as   of patch level 07. This can be maintained only in systems with the  required minimum release level.
