Inconsistent characteristic value assignment

HI Expert,

I have created the customer in Customer Master Screen (XD01) with some classification data ,

after creating the customer , i wanted to add one more classfication data in XD02 ( Change mode ), but i got the error.

Inconsistent characteristic value assignment,

Find the attachment for the reference.

How to resolve this ?

Hi Siva,

Such errors happen often if you work with object having dependencies and enter a value that is in conflict with the automatic determined value of SAP.

You usually get a flash icon to analyze the root cause for the same when this happens. You can also click on Inconstant button or even debug to see the error triggering point.
