Hi,
i have an exit which has some import and export parameters. The customer code needs to be insert into an Z-include as usual. The exit function module can be activated without problems. When i try to activate the z-include i'm getting an error. The z-include just modifies one of the importing parameters from the function module, and i'm getting the error that this is field is unknown.
For sure there is no mistyping. i tried to update the navigation index from the utilities menu without any effect.
I'm absolut sure that there is anything missing or mistyped. This happens in a system copy of another system where everything is working fine. In the copy the sources are exactly the same. But in the copy i cannot activate the z-include. The Attributes of the include are ok, they are the same as in the original system, the statement is classified as an include.
What can be broken so that it is impossible to activate the exit/include?

Hi ,
WHy you are modifying import parameter . You can take import parameter assing it to any other varialbe
and use that to assing it to modify table or export parameter .

Hi,
did you update the naviagtion index from z-program or from function module where the z-prograsm is included? Last one would be right.
Maybe you have really a syntax error in your z program (e.g. missing . or something else) before you modify the parameter?

hi ,
VALUE(REQUEST) LIKE /RSC/T_RM_3A
STRUCTURE /RSC/T_RM_3A
Check whether structure you have assigned to user exit i.e /RSC/T_RM_3A
is there or not .
if it is there then check fields class and owner fields are there and structure should be active .

Activate anyway and see what's up. My guess is, with navigational index update and activate anyway it will work.

"David Drake", "/rsc" namespace? Sounds like Revelation Software Concepts...is this their rev-trac tool? Don't they have a hotline for their customers that you can contact? Just in case we get stuck here...

Thats what i tried. After activating anyway the appöication abends, saying include has errors.
And again: all structures/definitions/types/tables are present and activated. forward navigation works well, where used lists are working well. Activating fails.

Hi Thomas, yes its revtrac, and i dont think its a problem with revtrac but with bc_aba_la, so i opened a call at sap. Revtrac would be working well if the components can be activated
I thought maybe someone in SDN enconutered the same problem in the past so i asked here first...

Only crazy ideas, but
-> check attributes of z-programm (must be of type I)
-> comment out all code lines and try to generate report. Any remaining errors?
2011 Jun 20 12:41 PM
I think if you look at the package of the include in the system where it is working compared to where it isn't there are possibly some definitions missing.
Please post the exact error message you are getting.

Another idea!
If you are creating such z-includes you get a suggestion for creation of a main program (function group or something else). If you select yes, you will create a main program which causes such a syntax error ...
Maybe you can find it by where used list!

Attributes are correct, type i
empty includes can be activated
all components are in $TMP

I cannot activate where used list of include shows one function module
2011 Jun 20 1:13 PM
Ok,
I thought you could activate it after commenting out both program lines.
If both lines are commented out, try a clear of the structure
CLEAR REQUEST.
Syntax okay? Remove the clear and reactivate the OWNER line!
Syntax okay?

It can only be activated if the include is empty, if i access the stucture or a component the compiler is trowing an error.

So the mystery deepens! I'm all eyes & ears to this thread

PS: My apologies for being of no help.

SAP didnt opened the call for two hours now ... specified high
Maybe all guys from the bc-aba-la area escaped to somewhere to be not assigned to this

Is there an entry in D010INC with INCLUDE = "ZX_RSC_EI_CUST_EXIT_009_INCL" and MASTER = function group of "/RSC/EI_CUSTOMER_EXIT_009" ?
If not, try to get it in there, don't ask how or if this helps at all...
Maybe some important step was missed by your system admins during the system copy?
Maybe it has something to do with $TMP package?
Maybe...

Hi Rainer,
maybe there is something wrong with the function group of the fm.
In SE37 in the utilities menu ther is an option "Repair Function Group".
It wouldn't be my 1st choice to try, but if there are no more other opptions you can give it a try.

Klaus

Rainer,
If I am not wrong you are making changes to an INCLUDE which is within a Function Module, did you tried activating the main program of this FM using SE80.
Thanks,
K.Kiran.

Rainer, would you mind sharing how this mystery was resolved?

We moved Revtrac to its own SAP instance. After that everything was ok. Then something happened . we dont know what. In the morning all includes for the user exit were in state described.
The where used list finally showed that the incliude was used twice now in the revtrac enviornment. DD010INC showed only one entry. The other entry was a modification done by DDIC in the /RSC/SAPLDEV...include-"program". After taking out the modification evrything was ok again.
With taking out the modification we deleted all hints to figure out what happened why ... So i only can tell how it was resolved.
Having only one entry in the SAP table you're not getting the dialog asking for the mainprogram. Instead, the ABAP compiler tried to compile in the SAPLDEV environnment. As the data declaration came later its natural that the compilation failed. Not showing what main program was compiled i always believed he was trying to compiler the user exit ... which wasnt the fact.
Thats how the SAPLDEV module looked like:
include top-include (whith data declarations)
include user exit (which finally included the z-include)
Kalus Babl hat the right idea asking how many main programs i had. Unfortunatly, i didnt paid enough attention to this.
