Inbound MATMAS

Hi

MessType: ZMDM_MATMAS

Direction: Inbound

Enhancement: MGV00001 (CMOD)

UserExit: EXIT_SAPLMV02_002

Inlcude: ZXMGVU04

Today I can create MATERIAL via idoc using our Messtype: ZMDM_MATMAS.

So it's like MDM sending idoc into SAPR3. It works just fine.

I have also created a "APPEND STRUCTURE" to table MARA. with the field ZZMDMID.

I have also created a Inbound user-exit to fill this field se below (Include: ZXMGVU04)

Do I have to do something more in order to get this value 'MDM1234' inserted into MARA-ZZMDMID ?

F_MARA_UEB-ZZMDMID = 'MDM1234'

"""

I've debugged this program and I can see that the value is filled in the structure.

You need to add this field to the segment and then in the user exit write the logic to map to that segment field.

Hi,

I don't really understand ....

I use SAP NW04s by the way.

My append structure name on MARA is ZMDMID.

Structure ZMDMID includes only one field ZZMDMID.

For now I don't care to take the values from the idoc ... I just want to be able to hardcode and save this field into MARA at the end...

Hi,

What srinivas want to tell is if u want to populate ur zfield in the mara table then u have to extended ur idoc and then have to write ur logic in the userexit then only it will reflect ...see as there is no field in the standard idoc,hence u have to add ur field via segment to the standard idoc,then only ur field will be present in the idoc type...as its value won't be populated by the standard program ,hence u have to write the logic in the userexit...now along with stanard program ur userexit program will also execute and the value will be populated in the table...

so u have to create one idoc extension..

Hi,

I want to do small simple steps here in order to get this to work!

STEP1: Add a HardCoded value into F_MARA_UEB in my UserExit

STEP2: Use a value from my idoc-extension to put in F_MARA_UEB in my UserExit.

My userExit looks like this.

""" Include ZXMGVU04

F_MARA_UEB-ZZMDMID = 'MDM1234'

"""

OR are you telling me that the only way to fill F_MARA_UEB is to use an idoc extension??

Do you have a blog or something explaning howto ? Hard to find....
