Inbound IDOC

hi all,

i want to test an inbound IDOC. I have a TXT file. I would like to know the processor steps of testing an inbound file in SAP.

I tried using WE19 and entering the message name and excute , then click the "inbound processing file" and i gave the file name and uncheck the "Start IDOC inbound processing of file immediately " and click the "Overwrite file in File mode and enter. then IDOC is generated. when i checked in WE02, it showes status 68 "Pattern IDoc written to database. Not defined for processing.".

IS the file format is wrong or what ??
