Read the instructions given in Note.

Download the Note using SNOTE.After this you have to change its status to IN-PROCESS.

Check if it can be implemented without any issue.

If yes, you can implement the same or else proceed with manual approach.

Sometime, we need to implement Extra SAP Notes Also. That you can get in SNOTE.

Hope it helps you.

Hi Andrei,

Manual Correction is also a Easy way and cost you very less than SNOTE (Automatic Update).

Just goto the OSSNote (www.service.sap.com) Use your OSS ID to View the note.

Now check the Application Component & Choose that Correction.

In the correction window It is very clear in which Standard Program And in which part you need to delete & replace very clear...

I Feel A Newbie can also do the corrections in SAP Notes Manually.

If it asks for a Acces Key for Correction(change) Then consult your Basis team they will provide you one.

Thanks & regards,

Dileep .C

In my opinion you should always try to use SNOTE rather than manual correction. It is so much easier since in the majority of cases it will do all the work for you. I don't think it cost us anything - we just downloaded it.

Hi Christine Evans,

In my opinion you should always try to use SNOTE rather than manual correction. It is so much easier since in the majority of cases it will do all the work for you. I don't think it cost us anything - we just downloaded it.

Are you sure on this...!

As far as I know, My functional consultants said this to me that If we need to download the Oss Note &

Auto update in the System through SNOTE Tx, then SAP will charge for updates.

Because of this I implemented manually many Notes. This is what I know, Now I am confused by your words...!

But Manual Implementation is also not a Big Job... With my Experience I have implemented manual Notes many times,,,

And Each note may take Minimum 2hrs & Maximum 6hrs in which All I did.

Anyways you given me a good point to dig...!

Thanks & regards,

Dileep .C

Hi Andrei,

I dont understand what you mean by Step by Step Implementation...!

I have already Implemented many SAP Notes earlier.. And I mentioned the same above...!

Ok,,, The Procedure for OSS Notes Implementation Purely Depends on the NOTE.

In the note if it is correction for SE38, then need to do corrections in SE38,,, If for a SE37 then in SE37... If a Include,, then,,,,,,,

So you need to check the OSS note first as mentioned above,, by looking to the note from website you can further do your correction in the respective area.

Thanks & regards,

Hi,

Through SNOTE, first you can check whether that note can be implemented or not.

If yes then you can implement using SNOTE.

If no, then still you want to apply that note, then you have to do the changes manually as per the instructions given in the note.

Regards,

Anil
