When we are upgrading how do we do Impact Analysis from a Security Point of View?

We are upgrading from 4.7 to ECC 6? How should we analyze and what are the steps that should be taken from Security point of view?

use TRX SE25 and read all documentation on that TRX

Hi Saga,

First inspect transaction SU25 and it's documentation. That will teach you all the steps and prerequisites.

Then have a look at the SAP_NEW profile on an already upgraded box. In this profile you'll find all new objects that have come with the new release.

In SU24 you can see which transctions are impacted by the new objects. From there you can inspect your roles to see which ones need adapting.
