HI,
1) middleware EAI is used in outbound idoc processing, what is the purpose.
2) after the idoc reaches the receiving system , it is processed using the function module.what is the procedure after that i mean is any mapping required further.
3) file interface port type is for sap to external system and trfc for r/3 to r/3.is it this way.
there is an outbound idoc to be created for vendor master.
CREMAS02 is to be used as existing idoc type.
transactions xk01 and xk02 to be used .
When a vendor is created what causes it to create IDOCs?
Where is the config done for this and message type CREMAS02 accessed>?
Similarly , for change of Vendor, when and where does the change pointer gets triggered.
give me some pointers in terms of TCODE and the basic process as SAP handles it to send info to 3rd party system.
maximo_interface_table is given and mapping needs to be done.
if anyone is aware of it please giv ur email id so that i can seek your help .

Hello,
1 Middleware EAI is used in outbound IDoc processing to make SAP-data suitable for reciving system .Sometimes even the internal data change like internal-> external partner number change can be done in middleware & data is transferred in the form which is acceptable by receiving system.
Middleware maps SAP data into a foramt which can be trnasferred into receiving system needed format.
2.Mapping is generally done at EAI level if receiving system is non-sap.EAI transfers data in the format reqd by receiving system.
3.yes ...trfc can be used with SAP to SAP's other application components..like BW.
