Does SAP provide a functionality to download an idoc, make changes to it and upload it again to the SAP system?

In tcode WE19, what is the use of the radiobutton 'File as template' ?

Hi,

It allows you if the idoc is available as a file in the directory. You should specify the file path.

That means it allows you to process an Idoc based on a file in the application server?
