Hi,

There are different ways to generate an idoc:

1. Through Stand Alone Programs

2. Through message Control (For Application and transactional data)

3. Without Message Control (For master data)

In order to generate IDOC after saving the transaction, follow the steps below: (thru message control)

Example: Purchase Order

1. Create Output type in NACE transaction, and check whether it is EDI or ALE and assign program RSNASTED.

2. Create output procedure to populate the output type in PO. Check in NACE transaction at the starting screen while selecting the application.

3. Create partner profile for the particular vendor or supplier in WE20 by giving the number, agentid and message type and message function and basic idoc type and process code(ME10 for creation or ME11 for change) etc.

This is for Outbound IDOC and do this Outbound Parameters.

4. If it is ALE, create a distribution model and generate the partner profiles.

5. Check RFC communication is working or not.

6. Check the tRFC ports or file ports.

7. Check WE57 for assignment of the basic idoc type to message type and FM of process code.

8. Check WE82 for message type.
