Any one have a sample program to launch IDOC from the executable (SE38) program.

The special need is instead of BDC for MM02 I need a IDOC to be launched

see BDC, is used to migrate data, within an server, Idocs are used as bridge of application documents between server and clients. What do you need Exactly.

Sorry to say , you are not clear with your Questions, or iam not catching you.?

See as Idoc instead of BDC, Material Master, ( There is an master idoc type Matmas)

Without programming , by using ALE ( Application Link Enabling ) you can do it.

or Through code means, you need Some requirements?

I need the IDOC's to be used for Material master change with in the server and I am sure that it can be done. U said that u will send me the code. Please do that

If I won't get what i need then I am planning to go to BD10. But I prefer going with calling the function module directly from the se38 program.

Hello,

If you want to change Material Master, is better to use BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA, instead of using IDOCS, Above they are rigth, if you want to move data from one server to other (system to another system), use idocs.

I would recommend to use the FM.
