IDOC to XML - need any programming effort

Hi all expert

i was told that there is not programming effort to convert standard IDOC to XML file...But somewhere i read document that SAP R/3 dont have conversion from IDOC to XML...i was confuse....can anyone explain ??

fyi i using FTP EDI transmission approach...so i need to generate XML file and vendor will process these XML file...

Hello

If you just need the IDoc as XML-IDoc then create a XML port (transaction WE21 ) and send your IDocs to this port.

However, if you need to have some kind of EDI-XML you need to do some extensive mapping fron the IDoc structure to the EDI structure.

In our case we XSLT mapping on SAP-XI for this purpose. If you do not have SAP-XI available you are able to to do XSLT transformation on the SAP system (transaction XSLT ).

Hi

You define XML port as per suggestion of UWE then go to partner profile and select Vendor master IDOC and in output mode select collect IDOC

When you have define XML port you also assign particular directory in which you want to collect IDOC then MAP that directory to FTP server

Well. do i need to configure in SM69 ? is there any way i can test the configuration is correct by resend any idoc file ? have u done this before ?
